Burger King Kit Fifa 20

  • The average football fan may not be familiar with Stevenage, but many FIFA 20 players know just who they are. And this is partly thanks to a campaign by Burger King, a sponsor of the League Two club (English Fourth Division) that managed to make it the most used team in the EA Sports video game.

League Two club Stevenage have unveiled their home and away kits for the 2019/20 season – with a tasty twist!

This is because they are now sponsored by American fast food restaurant Burger King after thrashing out a whopper of a commercial agreement.

Stevenage said in a statement: “Due to the recent re-brand and commercial agreement with Burger King, the kits will be available to supporters later than usual, however, we believe that they are well worth the wait.

“This is a really exciting season for the club and we hope these kits will be a part of an iconic campaign.”

The kit is a slight variation of their red and white stripes, while their away kit is navy with splashes of red and yellow on it and a round neck collar.

Their exciting new strip (not the chicken ones), made by sports brand Macron, will be premiered on Saturday when Boro face Jersey Bulls in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Stevenage are not the first club to have the Burger King logo on their shirts, with Spanish club Getafe also using it in 2009.

But that’s not all – on the inside of the Getafe shirt was the rubbery face of the fast food chain’s mascot the ‘Burger King’.

This meant that if a player wanted to go ‘full Ravanelli’, supporters would be greeted by the monarch’s mug – presumably because no referee would dare book royalty for removing their shirt.

We’re not sure whether the ‘Burger King’ will be greeting the Lamex Stadium faithful at any point next season!
